I spent Friday with some friends, riding and bench racing and sharing stories of all kinds. Saturday I was at my parents' for dinner (which I didn't have to make or clean up after, which was awesome) and then came home to stitch up some gear B had torn and it clicked.

How many moto moms, girlfriends and wives are out there putting in countless hours in the background? I'm one of you, kind of. I've got a very independent rider for a boyfriend, but I'm still there at the races, worrying alongside the rest of you when his number doesn't come around when it should. I'm packing the food and the gear before the races, making the lists and plans for the weekend based around the race or a ride.

I'm also there beside you as you stitch up holes in gear. As you tackle a mountain of muddy, blood stained, sweat soaked riding gear. On that note, can anyone give me the secret? I just can't get the whites white the way other moto moms can. Anyone who can offer some tips on this would be greatly appreciated; I've got a new set of black and white gear for myself I'd rather not ruin.

So, to all those unsung mommas and sweethearts who are there every Sunday at the races, we salute you. We couldn't race without you.
