Alpinestars A-10

Over the past few years, neck braces have become a staple part of a rider’s safety equipment, but making a chest protector work in conjunction with them was sometimes a challenge, or flat out impossible. So, riders were forced to choose whether they wanted to protect their necks or their chests. Not any longer.

Knowing that this might be a problem, Alpinestars set out to design a system that would work with their Bionic Neck Support (BNS) without compromising comfort and safety. At long last, the A-10 is here.

This over-the-jersey chest protector has been specifically designed to be integrated with the BNS or function fully on its own. In order to achieve this level of integration, Alpinestars have manufactured the chest plate with a removable section to allow the BNS to sit properly on the chest while maintaining the full protection that a chest protector offers. This was exactly what it did. From the first time I put on the A-10 it fit perfectly.

A10_DETAIL2_CopyThe A-10 is designed with flexible joints to offer a precise fit to enhance the protection and comfort of the chest protector. With a full back protector included, the A-10 gives the rider complete protection of the back and the anatomically correct shoulder caps the scapulas are protected as well.

A unique feature of the A-10 is the removable padding throughout, which makes keeping the chest protector clean and help you smell minty fresh, instead of like an old gym bag.

This CE-certified chest protector takes one extra step in making sure that the comfort and protection is up to Alpinestars usual quality, they have wrapped all the edges with a rubber coating to eliminate any sharp edges.

For more information or to purchase this winning effort from Alpinestars visit their website at www.alpinestars.com. This one size fits all piece has worked flawlessly with the BNS and is claimed to work with most other neck brace systems. At a suggested retail of USD$169.95, how can you go wrong?
