Eastern Canadian XC Championships: June 15 & 16 and June 22 & 23
Mark your calendars as ATV and Off-Road Bikes race for a shot at the 2013 Eastern Canadian XC championships as the Fédération Motocyclistes de Sentiers du Québec (FMSQ) and Offroad Ontario (OO) enter a partnership. With a full motocross track, dedicated trails, and extreme sections The Burnt River Offroad Facility and Victoriaville are hosts to this inaugural event.
Two Days in June this Weekend
Day one, Lansdowne, will be a little easier this year but will remain the tougher of the two days. Friday night dry camping welcomed. Special extreme area for the top classes.
Offroad Ontario Motopark XC, Rd #2 Recap
MotoPark has hosted national motocross and off road events in the past, but this was the first time it would host an Off Road Ontario Cross Country. The challenging course featured many rocky uphills and pebbled single track, and by the time the Afternoon classes took to the field the rocks and roots lurking under the fresh cut trail, painstakingly cut and cleared by volunteers from the Halton Off Road Riders Association, began to rear their special kind of ugliness.
Offroad Ontario Colborne Cross Country
The 2013 Off Road Ontario Cross Country series kicked off this long weekend in Colborne, Ontario. The crowd was big, as one would expect for the series opener, with higher than anticipated turnouts in every class across the board, with Novice B taking home the prize for largest class of the day.

Wrapping it Up
So, I’m sorry first off that it has taken me this long to get this posted. Layne, this apology is for you! I told you Sunday at the Codrington round of the OO XCs that I’d put a post up for you, about the awesome way you stopped to help a Mini Junior rider (Devyn Marshall, one of the youngest riders on the course) who was having problems on a particularly rough section of trail. It was the last cross country of the year, and I missed accepting my award and giving my speech because I was out on the trails taking pictures.
Ormstown Photo Report
The WEC Royal Distributing Canadian Offroad Championship came east to stop at Ormstown, Quebec. The event, hosted by the FMSQ, was a huge success, with one of the largest turn outs the WEC has ever seen at any event.
