Factory Husqvarna's Cory Graffunder hit the road for round two of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series with one thing on his mind - podium. After starting the season with a modest seventh-place finish at the opening round, Graffunder was determined to improve his results, and he was able to do just that with a third-place finish, on the podium, at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.

Top Ten Finishes for Husqvarna Racers

Corona, CA - April 15, 2013 - Husqvarna racers were in action on both coasts of the United States over the weekend - Cory Graffunder in the West Hare Scrambles series and the Fred Andrews Racing (FAR) Husqvarna team at the Louisiana National Enduro. Hard work and fortitude led both teams to top-ten finishes with Graffunder taking fourth and FAR Husky's Andrew DeLong ending his day in eighth.

The opening round of the 2013 FIM Enduro World Championship saw three Husqvarna Racing Team by CH Racing squad members place on the podium during the two-day event in Talca, with eight-time world champion Juha Salminen claiming the team's best result. Returning to the Enduro 1 class for 2013, Salminen claimed a solid runner-up result on day one, shadowed on the podium by countryman Matti Seistola in third. Australian youngster Matt Phillips battled his way though his first ever EWC event successfully, claiming a well deserved third place result on day two in the Enduro Junior class.

Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing’s Juha Salminen saw his hopes of a double Enduro 2 class win ended on day one of the Enduro World Championship GP of Argentina when the Finn was forced to retire after a stone became lodged between the chain and front sprocket of his bike. Leading the E2 class at the time, Salminen bounced back in spectacular style to win the class on day two – his second E2 class win in as many GPs.

After the great successes of the 2011 Enduro World Championship – winning both rider and manufacturer titles in the Enduro 1 and Enduro 2 classes, Husqvarna Enduro Team by CH Racing will start the new season once again focused on success. With a revised rider line-up the squad are looking forward to competing in what will undoubtedly be a highly competitive eight-round series.
