STEWART SIGNS FOR YOSHIMURA SUZUKI

Yoshimura Suzuki Racing has signed Supercross and Motocross Champion James Stewart to a multi-year contract effective immediately.

Stewart will compete in both AMA Pro Motocross and Supercross aboard the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 beginning with the first round of the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Championship in Sacramento, California on May 19th.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (April 11, 2012) – James Stewart has been suffering from the effects of a fractured hand since his crash in Indianapolis, which was further aggravated in Houston. He will sit out round 14 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series this Saturday, April 14, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. to allow his hand additional time to recover. Before rejoining the series Stewart will have the injury re-evaluated by his doctor.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (March 23, 2012) – James Stewart will not race round 12 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship this Saturday at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, ON.  Stewart, who suffered a crash at last weekend’s event in Indianapolis has been thoroughly examined by his medical team and the determination has been made that he is not yet ready to return to racing.

Ryan Villopoto holds on for his sixth win of the year, beating out Justin Brayton and Davi Millsaps. Brett Metcalfe made his first heat win at Indianapolis, but was only able to pull a 4th place overall and Lites West rider Cole Seeley rounds out the top five. Even after being out for two rounds, Ryan Dungey remains 2nd, with Stewart in 3rd, Millsaps in 4th and Windham in 5th.

AURORA, Ill. (March 12, 2012) – After winning his first race of the 2012 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, season in Oakland six weeks ago, Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX’s James Stewart returned to the top step of the podium last Saturday in Daytona, gaining nine points on Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Ryan Villopoto’s championship lead. This weekend, the schedule returns to the Midwest and the Circle City of Indianapolis, with the 11th race of the season from Lucas Oil Stadium.

Media day is Thursday, March 15 from Noon-2:00 p.m. at the Lucas Oil Plaza.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (February 7, 2012) – JGR Engine & Suspension Services will be trackside at each of the three major upcoming amateur national events.  The JGR engine and suspension in-house experts will be on hand to offer guidance and service at each race.

JGR will provide consultation on compounds and offer special pricing on Pirelli Scorpion tires, the same tires used by James Stewart and Davi Millsaps.  Mounting and air pressure suggestions will also be available.
