The event is being held in support of the Rick Hansen Foundation and is the first event of its kind to be held at Chicopee Ski & Summer Resort located in the heart of Kitchener, Ontario, August 26th.
Chicopee has partnered with race organizers X-C1 Productions to bring cross-country racing to a spectator friendly venue surrounded by a huge population base. The combination of expertise in community events and off-road racing between the partners presents a unique opportunity to showcase XC racing to the general public.
In addition to the Pro payout schedule the event is featuring the “OO-Pro Bonus” of $200 which will be paid out to the highest placing Pro class rider who has competed in 8 of the previous OO XC championship rounds in 2012.
Offroad Ontario has established itself as the largest off-road series in Ontario and hopes to continue to grow the sport through events like Motomotion which feature family friendly races and intense Pro competition.
