The Master class started the race with a dead engine start, both hands on their helmet. KTM's Geoff Nelson got the hole shot with Bobby Prochnau in the middle of the pack. Nelson led the rade for two laps and battled hard to hold off Prochnau. Eventually Prochnau made the pass and ended up in first with teammate Nelson in second.
Fellow KTM rider Chantelle Bykerk raced the Intermediate class, leading it from wire to wire. After getting the hole shot, it seemed like no one was able to contest her lead. Chantelle took the win in the night event.
After the night event, the next morning saw the three KTM riders face off again, this time with 28 km. The morning race was a life engine start, with the Masters' start seeing Nelson and Prochnau battling their way through the pack by the second corner.
Conditions for the morning started off dusty, but close to the end of the race, it began to rain.
Bobby and Geoff battled their way around the cource and other races, finding themselves back at the front of the pack around the 20 minute mark. The racould with continue with much similar results as the previous evening; Bobby finished first, with Geoff in second.
Bykerk started the morning mid pack and had to battle her way to the front. Once she got there, she stayed there, making the wins two for two on the weekend.
The RTR Performance KTM riders had a great weekend, with six podiums, two wins and some great times. Prochnau, Nelson and Bykerk would like to thank their sponsors: RTR Performance, KTM Canada, Rider's Edge Suspension and Rekluse. In addition, Bobby would like to thank Alan Lachappell at LRP Racing and Scorpion Racing.
