There wasn't much rest this week for Yamaha/Machine Racing rider Brian "Wojo" Wojnarowski. After returning home from Xtinction last week it was off to Wingham for the Dirty Bikes.ca double header sprint.
“There was a lot of work that needed to be done this week,” said Wojo before the event on Saturday. “Coming back from Xtinction, I was prepared for a rough week, but I think everything went off well. Now we’ll just see; I hope the rear wheel stays on the rim this time.”
"It's an amazing format," the #2 bike rider said. "It's great for family and spectators, and it really encourages riders to build their speed."
On Saturday Wojo battled time and heat, coming out on top when the dust settled. "It was a really fun event, and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.”
Saturday night, Wojo and fellow rider Bryan Marshall held and impromptu riding school for the kids who were camping on site. “I think the kids really had a lot of fun,” said Wojo.
Sunday saw Wojo come out on top again, thanks in part to consistent test times. He blistered through the motocross track, a dusty deed as the laps wore on. “Yeah, the cross test got a little dusty by the end; it looked like it was going to rain, but if the only complaint someone has is the weather, it’s a good race, right?”
Wojo would like to thank all of his sponsors: Yamaha, Machine Racing, LGS, Podium Grafix, Bondi Engines, Works Connection, Yamalube, Rekluse, AXO Gear, PerformX, Orthoflex, LRP and AME Grips for their support
