Round 2:
Whispering Pines was a step in the right direction for me. Even after a bad crash in qualifying I still felt strong coming into moto one. I didn't get the best start, but I continued to work my way through the pack, battling with both the competition and the rough track conditions. After thirty plus two was up I had worked my way into 14th.
Going into moto two I knew with a good start I could improve on my finish. It looked liked I was about to get my wish with what started off as a great start, but I was clipped by another rider from the outside. It caused me to high side and become a part of the start straight. I hurt my right leg and foot in the midst, and it kept me from finishing the moto.
With that DNF I ended up 19th overall. It is now three days later and I know I will be healthy for round three.
