We at Push Marketing recently had the unique opportunity to visit the Central American country of Costa Rica. One of the great advantages of working in the magazine business is the opportunity to ride a variety of tracks, test new products and explore some of the best off-road riding areas on earth. A highlight was our recent adventure tour with Costa Rica Unlimited that left us breathless, exhausted, bruised and blown-away!
Red Bull KTM Factory rider Tony Cairoli of Italy on Sunday underlined why he is one of the finest Motocross riders in the world when he took his fifth consecutive MX1 World title and his seventh career world title at the MX GP Festival in the UK.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Team wrapped up a successful US Pro MX championships season at Lake Elsinore in California on Saturday with all three factory riders on the overall end-of-season podium. Ryan Dungey finished overall second in the 450-class and Ken Roczen and Marvin Musquin, the team’s two European riders finishing 2-3 in the 250 class competition.
Monster Energy rider Ryan Villopoto closed out a stellar 2013 season in true champion style, earning his eighth overall victory in the triple-digit heat at Round 12 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in Lake Elsinore, Calif. After clinching the 450 Class championship last week in Utah, he didn’t need the win, but in typical Villopoto-fashion took control of both motos early and easily grabbed his seventh moto sweep of the season.
Many roadracing fans will know the name Brett McCormick, but moto fans may not. McCormick is one of the fastest roadracers to come out of Canada and the Saskatchewan native even had the chance to race in Europe for the Effenbert Liberty Ducati team in the 2012 Superbike World Championship season. Oh, and did I mention that he broke his neck that same year and came back to race? Well, he has been out ripping on his local MX track lately, as it turns out, he is pretty damn fast on the moto track too.
