Factory Husqvarna's Cory Graffunder hit the road for round two of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series with one thing on his mind - podium. After starting the season with a modest seventh-place finish at the opening round, Graffunder was determined to improve his results, and he was able to do just that with a third-place finish, on the podium, at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.
American Mike Brown and Spanish rider Laia Sanz both struck EnduroCross gold at the Barcelona X-Games on Saturday night while American Maria Forsberg finished second in the women’s event to give KTM a good haul in this event in the city’s Olympic Stadium.

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Taylor Robert completed the season on the podium finishing third overall in the championship standings. He won his Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) to transfer to the main events and finished 12th and eighth in the dual main events. Justin Soulé transferred to the main events on his KX™250F after finishing second in his heat race. He stayed consistent in the main events finishing fifth and sixth, and climbed to sixth in the points standings. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Bobby Garrison posted competitive times throughout the evening and barely missed transferring to the main events.

Husqvarna's Cory Graffunder withstood pressure from multiple riders to earn the last podium position.
Irvine, Calif. (October 29, 2012) – Round 7 of the AMA EnduroCross Series featured the largest and most difficult course of the season at the Idaho Center in Boise, Idaho on Saturday. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Justin Soulé showed heart and determination by recovering from last place to finish fourth at the end of the main event. Soulé led every lap of his semi to transfer to the main event and did not let a first lap crash keep him from challenging for the podium in the main event. Teammate Taylor Robert qualified with the fourth-fastest hot lap, but fell victim to the treacherous course and could not transfer to the main event. Making his return from injury, Bobby Garrison showed impressive speed on his KX™250F to win his day qualifier. In the night show, Garrison finished just behind Robert, also missing the main event.
